Due to the emergence of AI, songwriters are citing threats to their livelihoods, the erosion of authentic human emotion in music, and unauthorized voice cloning.
Obion County’s Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Phillip Coleman, who has penned hits for artists like Ronnie Dunn, of Brooks and Dunn, and Miranda Lambert, recently experienced the use of AI with his work.(AUDIO)

The Nashville Songwriters Association International is pushing what they call the “Four P’s regulation” which includes Permission, Proof, Payment and Penalties regarding how AI companies train on existing songs.
