The former Martin Police Chief is now a District Five Commissioner. David Moore was selected for the seat previously occupied by Commissioner Larry Kelly who passed away January 12th.
At this month’s Commission meeting, Commissioner Moore and opposing candidate Joyce Washington were given two minutes to express why they were the candidate for the job.
Mr. Moore expressed his gratitude for being selected.
After being sworn in, his first vote was whether or not to approve the fund transfer for “We Grow Academy”, Weakley County’s up and coming daycare for children of teachers.
