Authorities are still looking for an inmate that escaped from the Crocket county Jail.
Officers launched a manhunt to apprehend 59 year old Gerald Pete Samples, identified as a white male, who escaped custody yesterday.
Samples is 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs approximately 207 pounds, and was last seen wearing a brown shirt and brown pants.
He was being held on a Circuit Court violation since last August.
Samples is considered a career criminal and the manhunt is currently focused in Gibson County.
