Road Construction will not delay motorists traveling Tennessee highways this Memorial Day weekend.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced the suspension of all construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes from noon on Friday through 6:00 on Tuesday morning.
TDOT Commissioner Will Reid said the lane closure suspension will provide maximum roadway capacity for the record-breaking number of motorists expected to take a road trip in the state during the holiday weekend.
