Henry County Director of Schools Dr. Leah Watkins has been awarded the Northwest Superintendent of the Year Award.
Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents Executive Director Dr. Gary Lilly presented the award on Thursday night during a Henry County School Board meeting.
Dr. Lilly said Dr. Watkins was respected throughout the state as an excellent leader with vision who applies current research and best practices.
