Deadline Approaching for Microgrant Application for Main Street-Union City

Potential applicants now have until April 30th to apply for this year’s Main Street-Union City Microgrant.

The matching grant program is funded by a charitable gift from the Verhine Trust, with the funds designated for the rehabilitation and renovation of commercial properties in the downtown business district.

Main Street-Union City will award funds up to $15,000 for a project or projects, with a 25-percent match in funds from the property or business owner.

Awarded funds can be used for improvements that include new windows and doors, painting, a new roof, along with lighting and interior updates.

The grant award winner or winners will be announced on May 8th, with all projects required to be completed by May 31st of 2027.
