A museum home of the late Tennessee Governor Gordon Browning archives … is now a part of the Carroll County Genealogical Research Library, and Carroll County War Memorial on Main Street in McKenzie.

Carroll County Historical Society Vice President Jennifer Waldrup said items of Governor Browning’s is now in the museum…. allowing the public to see how he worked for the community and for the state.

Browning served in Congressman from 1922 to 1935 and later served as Governor from 1937 to 1939 and from 1949 to 1953.

In addition to genealogy students and the public will see a wide assortment of historical documents on display.
