The Hickman Police Department has issued a Public Safety Alert for local residents.
Police Chief Ryan Amberg said the department has recently received multiple reports of vehicle break-ins and attempted vehicle thefts.
Chief Amberg is reminding residents to lock their vehicles at all times, and to never leave valuables such as firearms, purses and electronics in plain sight.
Parking in well lit areas when possible is also recommended, along with never leaving keys in the ignition unattended.
