A former UT Martin Skyhawk golfer will be competing in the 108th PGA Championship starting today.
Zach Haynes is one of 156 participants at the tournament being held in Newton Square, Pennsylvania.
Haynes played for the Skyhawks from 2014 thru 2018, and was a member of the universities first-ever Ohio Valley Conference Championship in 2016.
The three player group containing Haynes will tee off this afternoon at 1:16, and will follow the group which includes defending PGA Champion and world No.1 ranked Scottie Scheffler.
The 30 year old Haynes is one of 20 PGA of America professionals who earned a spot in the championship field.
