Though Weakley County no longer owns the Weakley County Nursing home, it is a topic of conversation at the Finance Ways and Means meeting regarding land.
Weakley County Director of Finance John Liggett says the new owners are taking steps to phase the county out.
Committee member, Gary Eddings says it’s time to sell the over seven acres surrounding the nursing home, since the new owners have no interest.
The Committee went on to vote to move forward with the sale of the land.
