A Ripley woman was arrested in Union City, following a traffic stop for speeding in a school zone.
Police reports said an officer patrolling the school zone on South Miles Avenue, observed a vehicle traveling 25 miles-per-hour in a 15 mile-per-hour zone.
After initiating a traffic stop, a strong odor of marijuana was detected from the vehicle.
Police reports said 19 year old Kaila Rae Link was asked to exit the vehicle for a search, with a large amount of marijuana observed on the driver’s floor board.
The marijuana weighed 18-grams, with Ms. Link taken into custody on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
The vehicle belonging to Ms. Link was towed from the scene.
