Voters in Obion County are going to the polls today for the County Primary.
Voting will take place at 12 polling locations across the county.
There are only two contested races for today’s primary, with both on the Republican ballot.
For County Commission in District 1, Kenny Mayo, John Lane McConnell, David W. Lamb and Ricky W. Cranford are running for three seats.
The three leading vote receivers in this race will take a seat on the County Commission.
For County Commission in District 5, the ballot includes Taylor Pierce, Shane Sanford, Benny McGuire and Greg Ferguson.
The three top vote receivers in this primary will advance to face Independent candidates in the August primary.
Voting hours for today’s County Primary will continue until 7:00.
During the early voting period, 370 votes were cast at the Obion County Election Commission Office.
