The City of Hickman has taken a step forward concerning efforts to stabilize a major landslide in their downtown area.
At a special called meeting this week, City Commissioners approved funding sources to begin studies at the Carroll Street slide location.

The landslide occurred during very heavy rainfall that was received during the early spring period of 2025.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has maintained the closure of Carroll Street following the slide.
