The Jackson Police Department has announced an arrest in connection with a March homicide.
Police reports said 18 year old Cordayvious Ballard was taken into custody for the shooting death of 19 year old Marrione Parks on March 30th.
Parks was discovered by police on the front steps of his residence on Cartmell Street.
Through a combination of witness cooperation and review of video surveillance, the Major Crimes Division received a statement of involvement of the crime by Ballard.
He was charged with first degree murder and was arraigned Monday in Jackson City Court.
