Eighty four year old U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell say he is “honored and humbled” that Kentucky lawmakers want to recognize his decades of service.
Kentucky Lawmakers passed House Bill 757, a measure filled with tax changes and incentives and a permanent statue for U S Senator Mitch McConnell. It would be inside the Capitol’s rotunda once it reopens from ongoing renovations.
However Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, a Democrat, has taken issue with the move, saying he’s “not in favor of it” hinting he’ll veto the statue provision in HB 757.
